Kudos Champions!

Navrachana Sama, emerged 2nd Runner up in boys category after defeating Chandraben School Kheda by 3-1, Vidyani Vidyalaya by 1-0, and K. V. Gandhinagar Cantt by 2-0, unfortunately lost by 1 goal in their semi finals, and again Navrachana boys bounced back by defeating BHS Alkapuri in the hard liner match and won Rs 64000 cash vouchers.

The Navrachana U19 school soccer team had participated in the Times of India school soccer tournament which was held from 5th to 10th February 2019, at reliance ground. The team played their first match against BHS Alkapuri winning it by 1-0. The second match match was won by 5-0 against Rachana High School Ahmedabad

The semi finals was against Vatsalya International Borsad. The match was locked with 0-0 in full time and penalties decided the game. With a close margin of 3-1 they lost it. The hard liner was against Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya, where they won by 3-0 and emerged 2nd Runner up and got prize of Rs 64000 cash vouchers.

Total 4 teams from NISV, VIDYANI VIDYALAYA, & NAVRACHANA were playing the tournament. Our team emerged champions after defeating rest of the other teams and won gold medal and trophy for the school, Vanshika Dhapola of 4-F declared player of the match and got a trophy.

Navrachana, Sama emerged champions in the football tournament organized by BDFA at NISV, Bhayali.
Navrachna got bye in the first round. In the second match they defeated Sant Kabir by 2-0. In the final match
Navrachna defeated NISV by 4-0. Krisha and Annika scored one goal each while Anoushka scored two goals and became man of the match. Kudos to the champions!!!!

She will represent Vadodara District at State level.

BDFA Football Tournament

Navarachana School Sama Boys, participated in the BDFA football tournament in which they were runners up by defeating BHS ongc 2-1,VIBGYOR in the quarter finald by 3-1 and Don Bosco in the Semi finals by 4-2, secured silver medal after getting 2nd position.

This was held at Ahmedabad from 25th to 27 th Nov 2018.

Dhruv Pathak of 12 D represented India at the Budokan Cup Championship held in Dubai on 11th May 2018. Dhruv bagged the 2nd and 3rd place in two separate categories of Karate Championship.

He also represented India at Malaysia and won the 3rd place.

Shreya Shah studying in Class 3 F has won the Second Prize of Unrated players, in an E4 fide rated chess tournament, held in Vadodara with Rs. 3000 as cash prize.She has scored 6 points out of 10 and has stood 37th rank out of 144 players.

Navrachana Sama, U - 14 chess team bagged the Bronze Medal in CBSE WEST ZONE CHESS TOURNAMENT held at G.D. Goenka Public School, Gwalior from 3rd October to 5th October, 2018.

Amongst 46 teams in U -14 mixed category, Navrachana team comprising of two boys and two girls scored 9/12 points and stood third.

The team has qualified for the Nationals.

Swara Mehta of class 7-C was 1st in 100mt freestyle event, clocking a time of 1:21. She also ranked 1st in 400mt freestyle event, clocking a time of 6:02 at District Khel Mahakumbh.

Tanaya Rode of Std. 8F participated in 100 Mrs Breaststroke U-14 category in Khel Mahakumbh and stood 1st in the District Level clocking a time of 1min 40 secs.

Both Swara and Tanaya have qualified for State Level events - each will have 3 individual events and will also be a part of freestyle relay team of Vadodara. Congratulations you do us proud.

Champions Again!!

Navrachana School Sama's U-17 and U-19 girls football teams participated in the CBSE west zone girls football championship held from 8 -10 October'18 at Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh.

The U-19 team comprised of 16 girls, Anoushka, Sakshi, Ura, Meghavi, Aarushi, Vandita, Annika, Komal, Krisha, Tana, Ruhi, Yashasvi, Arshiya, Aadhya, kairavi, and Natasha of grades 9-12. They bagged the Champion's Trophy and qualified for CBSE nationals.

The U-17 team comprised of 15 girls Shantala, Maya, Srishti, Kairavi, Sanyukta, Diya, Janvi, Parita, Hivah, Mitali, Bhumi, Hetvi, Vidhi, Prisha,Sowmya.

This team created history by playing for the first time and qualifying for the CBSE Nationals by being Runner's Up Team and winning silver medals for themselves.

The teams received their awards from the Arjuna awardee, Mr. Ashok kumar Dhyanchand, an Olympics Hockey Team captain, son of legendary hockey wizard Major Dhyanchand. Congratulations team.

Basketball Champions !

Adding one more feather to the cap, Navrachana Girls U-17 Basketball team emerged winners at the Khel Mahakumbh District Level Basketball tournament held at Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya on 24th Sept.'18.

The team has qualified for the State level tournament.

Each player has won the prize money of Rs.3000/- .

Team members are :- Naomi, Sherlin, Nidhi, Rachel, Dhruvi, Aabha, Nandini, Juhi, Kajal, Roshi, Shruti and Shreya. Coach :- Dharmindersingh.

Tinaz Mistry of class 9B participated in the COMMONWEALTH CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2018 From 26th June to 3rd July held at New Delhi with participation of 17 countries.

She ranked 17th in U-14 Girls, increasing 58.4 fide rating points .

Third year in a row Navrachana U-17 girls emerged champions of Subroto Cup.

Navrachana School Sama participated in the Subroto Inter School Tournament held at DPS Kalali,Vadodara on 3rd August'18.

They won their first match against Convent by 6-0 and entered Semi Finals.

They won Semis against Saint Kabir in penalties by 5-2.

Navrachana girls became U17 Subroto District Champions by defeating BHS Alkapuri by 2-0.

Subroto Cup Champions-Boys

Navrachana boys U-17 team secured 2nd position in Subroto cup, which was held at Manjalpur sports complex from 31 July to 01 Aug'18.

On the way to the finals Navrachana defeated BHAVANS by 4-2, VIDYANI VIDYALAYA by 1-0, and DPS KALALI, by 4-2 in tie-breaker.

Sub Junior Nationals Championship

Krisha Shah and Tana Seju participated in the Sub Junior National Championship held at Cuttack, Odisha from 1st to 12th July'18.

Their performances in the competition was commendable, for the first time two of NSS girls selected for Gujarat state team.

They lost their first match against Uttar Pradesh but they came back with great score of 10-0 against Andhra Pradesh.

Rajkot Under 17 Football-Girls

Krisha Shah, Tana Seju, Ruhi Shah, Komal Pandya and Natasha Shitole participated in the state level Ban Lab Cup Girls Football Tournament at Rajkot from 7th to 10th June. They won their first match against Bhavnagar by 5-0. They entered semi finals and won against Kutch by 2-0.

Unfortunately they lost against Patan in finals.

Krisha Shah and Tana Seju further got selected for the Gujarat team.

Tinaz Mistry of class 9B participated in the Under- 15 National chess championship from 17th July to 25th July held at Kolkata scoring 6.5 of 11 rounds and increased 104 fide rating points gaining 33rd rank and the highest rating score among all Gujarat players.

Anoushka Nair, Krisha Shah, Tana Seju, Ura Diwedi, Meghavi Nakoom and Ruhi Shah participated in the U -17 state level tournament held at Palanpur from 18th to 22nd July.

They won their first match against Sabarkatha by 13-0.

They won their second match against Jamnagar by 7-0 and reached semi finals.

Unfortunately they lost against Palanpur but won against Kutch in the third position match by 1-0.

Anoushka Nair further got selected for the Gujarat team and is going to participate in the nationals that is going to be held in Goa next month.

Sachika stood 37 in Asian Youth 2018 at Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The competition was Asian Youth 2018 Chess Championship from 1st April to 9th April 2018 at Chiangmai, Thailand. 26 countries had participated.

Navrachana U-19 Girls Basketball team participated in the Gujarat Sports School League 2018 ( Central Zone) Basketball tournament held at Sama indoor stadium on31st March. In finals they defeated New Era by 51- 21 and have emerged champions and have won the prize money of Rs.100000/-. Our Team has also qualified for the State School League Tournament for the prize money of Rs. 500000/-. Navrachana U-14 Girls Basketball tournament

Navrachana U-14 Girls Basketball upcoming team for the year 2018-19 participated for the first time in under-14 Open Baroda Basketball tournament held at Balbhawan from 8th to 11th February 2018, they defeated vibgyor by 22/02, next in the semifinals they defeated New Era by 33/03 and in the finals they lost to NISV with a close margin of 23/24 and there by emerged runners up in the tournament.

Swim Baroda 2018

Swim Baroda 2018 Competition was organised by Arjun Aqua Academy on 11th February 2018 at Sama Indoor Stadium. More than 200 swimmers participated from the whole Vadodara District.

Among the participants Swara Mehta of Std 6C won Gold Medal in 100 mts freestyle, 50 mts freestyle and 50 mts butterfly and Tanaya Rode of Std. 7F won Gold in 50 mts breast stroke and Silver in 100 mts breast stroke. Congratulations girls.

7th Nationals School Chess championship

Tinaz Mistry of class 8th C ranked 10th at the 7th Nationals School Chess championship, Under 15 Girls held at Bhuwaneshwar , Odhisha from 28th Jan to 1st Feb 2018 at the age of 13 increasing 38 rating points.


The Sports day 2018 was celebrated on 20th January. It was the Closing Ceremony of the Golden Jubilee celebrations that took place throughout the year. The entire week, starting from the 17th ofJanuary was celebrated as the sports week.
The Chief Guest for the sports day was Air Commodore BV Upadhyay VM, Air Officer Commanding.
The programme started at 9.15 with the arrival of the chief guest. He was warmly welcomed by the Director Ms. Bijoya Baksi.

The first performance was by the Dare Devils of Navrachana. The stunts they performed like jumping through the fire hoops etc. were no less daring than any performed by professionals. 7 dare devils performed stunts balanced on a bike, with Mr. Binesh Nair, the Sports teacher, riding the bike. He even managed to salute the chief guest, all the while balancing the bike. At the end of the performance, 50 colourful balloons werereleased by tiny tots in the air, commemorating the 50 years glorious journey of Navrachana, and a 51st balloon heralding Navrachana’s entry into its 51st year.
The Sports Captain Yashraj Asher requested permission for the marchpast. Leading the marchpast was the students council contingent. The four houses dressed smartly in their house uniforms, marched past the stage, saluting the chief guest. NCC, the scouts contingent, the girl guides, the national players contingent and the golden girls contingent followed next. After the march past, the Vice Sports Captains carried the lit torch around the tracks and placed it in front of the stage. The Sports captain led the school in taking the oath.

A number of field displays were performed.
The Garba was performed by the students of classes 1, 2 and 3 heralding the SHUBHARAMBH of Navrachana’s entry into the next era.

After the garba were six races,
100 mtrs VII to IX (B&G)
100 mtrs X to XII (b & g) 200 mtrs IV to VI (B&G).

The girls of Navrachana, displaying their will power, determination and strength in a Self Defence Drill accompanied by girls of classes 7 to 9, performing the Maharashtrian folk dance, Lazium.
50 mtrs flat races ( b& g) std II & III.
Following them were the Zumbastic students of classes 4,5and 6, performing the zumba to commemorate the 50 years long youthful journey of Navrachana.
Then came the 400 mtrs boys and girls race which was followed by the recreational race for standard 1 where they dragged the ball with a ring. The boys of classes of 7 to 9 were not to left far behind.
The pyramids they formed were an example of perfection, balance and skill. Next were the most important races of all, the relay races for classes IV to VI boys and girls and for classes VII to IX boys.
The next performance was the Flight of Gold drill by 70 girls dressed in frills and trills, a total in house production with the wings too being stitched by our students and teachers.

Next was the most interesting competition of all, the tug of war between the ex students and parents and then the boys relay race for classes IX to XII and girls relay race for classes VII to XII.

The programme ended with a wonderful performance of a semi classical dance and music. The song was written and composed by our music teachers Ms. Anjana Banerjee and Mr. Ajit Pathak. It signified the closing of 50 glorious years and the stepping into a new dawn, building up new landmarks, marching towards an optimistic tomorrow, all the while leaving behind footsteps on the sands of time.

It ended with the victory march past with ruby house leading the school, followed by the Emerald House, then Topaz and Sapphire. The chief guest encouraged 1 the students with his motivating words.

This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony and in the end the vote of thanks was given by the Head Girl Rhythm Rastogi. Prizes - Final Sports Day

Navrachana school Sama ended the 2017-18 academic year with another great performance at the Baroda edition of the TOI cup. Both the boys and the girls finished 3rd, losing they're respective semi- finals. While the boys lost in a close encounter with Bhavan's, the girls lost by the same margin to SAG coached DPS Himmatnagar. But both teams bounced back in the final day and claimed their positions on the podium. The highlight of the tournament was that both the boys' and girls' Golden boot award was won by Navrachana school, with Anoushka Nair and Derik Kelsey scoring 7 and 10 goals respectively?. Navrachana U-19 girls Basketball team

They won the Bronze medal in the CBSE nationals held at Noida from 23rd to 26th Nov'17.
The girls CBSE Basketball team have been qualifying for the CBSE nationals for the past 9 years and for the 1st time in the history ofNavrachana the girls
basketball team won the Bronze medal.

Tinaz Mistry of class 8th C makes a mark at 63rd SGFI NATIONALS UNDER 14 GIRLS CHESS by bagging BRONZE with her team and one more feather to the cap by bagging SILVER for the board prize for her excellent individual performance competing 24 strong teams of INDIA.

National Basketball championship

Three girls from Navrachana School Sama, Khushi, Naomi and Sherlin participated in the Basketball Association State championship at Limdi from 29th September'17 to 2nd October'17. Representing the Baroda District team.

The Baroda team Emerged champion and they got selected for the National Basketball championship to be held at Didwana from 8th to 14 the October.

Best Skater for the second consecutive year.

Manasvi Kulkarni of class 2 of Navrachna Higher Secondary School Sama participated in the CBSE cluster West Zone skating tournament held at IES Public School, Bhopal from 9 Oct 2017-11 Oct 2017, and won Two Gold Medals and an All Rounder Championship Trophy and is now qualified for national's in November at Bhopal.

Girls Under 19 Football Team- CBSE West Zone

The girls Under 19 football team of Navrachana emerged as champions of the CBSE West Zone played in Surat for the very first time.
Our girls also played the final of the TIMES T20 school soccer, defeating Rachana school, Ahmedabad, Baroda HIGH school Alkapuri and NISV in the

previous rounds. This was also the fourth consecutive time our school played the final. The girls played Vatsalya International Borsad in the final and put up a

great show, dominating proceedings throughout the match and coming very close to taking the lead on a couple of occasions.

Unfortunately, in the dying minutes of the game, a shot from the Vatsalya striker deflected of a defender and ended in the back of the net. The girls lost 1-0 but

we're proud of the fight you put up girls, good luck for your CBSE nationals.

They have won Prize money Rs 1,12000 vouchers of Nike.

Ajay sir also deserves a huge round of applause for his well planned strategies and intense practice sessions with the team.


The Navrachana Boys U-19 Football team ended the school's 50 years' wait of becoming the U-19 Cluster XIII champions for the first time in Navrachana's history.

The boys defeated DPS Surat 1-0 today, in the final of a tough TOURNAMENT, in which they also defeated Vibgyor High school 2-0 and Aatman Vidya Mandir 3-1.
The boys will now represent Gujarat in the CBSE nationals.

The icing on the cake was the team keeper ,Kevin Kurian, getting the best player award. This year has been a golden year for football in Navrachana as both girls and boys will play the nationals as champions of their respective zone and Cluster. Ajay sir, their coach , deserves a special mention for his endless efforts in training and well thought and planned game strategies. We wish both the teams the best of luck for their nationals.

Navrachana becomes Champion in CBSE WEST ZONE FOOTBALL GIRLS TOURNAMENT held at Tapti Valley International School, Surat after defeating St Joseph School, Bhopal by 2-0 in the final, Little Angel school Gwalior 7-0 in Semi finals, and defeated St. Michael School Satna, MP , St.Joseph School in group stage.
They qualified for Nationals !!

Also ranked 55th at Under 13 Nationals held at Jalandhar from 21st June to 28th June 2017 increasing 57 fide rating points.

Basketball Champions

Under -19 DSO Basketball District level tournament held today at Sama Indoor stadium, Navrachana school girls team emerged winners by defeating Urmi school team in the finals by scoring 30 /05 points and boy's team of Navrachana emerged runners-up by losing in the finals against GPS school scoring 12/16 points.

Champions Again!!

Navrachana is once again champions in Baroda for football under 14 boys Subroto Cup. They have defeated Vidyani by 2-0 in the first round, New Era by 4-0 in Quarter finals, DPS Kalali by 3-0 in Semis and Don Bosco by 3-1 in the finals. This is for the third time they are champions in last four years.

Ruhi Shah, Krisha Shah, Bhaumi Patel, Komal Pandya and Anika Pillai of class VIII were selected to represent Baroda U-14 Girls football team in Khel Mahakumbh State level for 2016, which was held in Ahmedabad from 22 November 2016 to 2 December 2016. They emerged 2nd Runners up and got Bronze medal.

Khelmahakumbh Football Tournament on 22nd January 2016

Our U-16 Girls Football team participated in the KhelMahakumbh Football tournament on 22nd January 2016, the first match was against Auxilium High School where we won the match by the score of 8-0.

The Semi Finals were against BHS Alkapuri which was a rather tough match, but again victory was ours with 2 goals.
The finals were held on 24th January 2016 where Navrachana faced BHS ONGC in a nail biting match where both teams gave an equal fight , but SreemuktaRayaprolu ended the game by scoring 2 goals in the last 4 minutes.

This is the second consecutive time that the U-16 team has won this tournament !! They were awarded Rs 48,000/-. Kudos Team Navrachana - all players and their coach Ajay Sir !

Jerrssis Wadia , Class 10 student. An upcoming cricket sports person, he played for the West Zone, 3 days for the U-14 State level 2015-16 Cricket Tournament under the BCA banner.

Khelmahakumbh ( Football ) 2015-16

The U-16 girls football team participated in the Khel mahakumbh football tournament on 22nd January 2016, the first match was against Auxiliam High School where we won the match by the score of 8-0. Kudos to Navrachana Sama U-19 Girls Football Team for emerging 3rd in TOI Soccer Tournament. Our girls won Rs. 48,000 cash vouchers!!

The tournament dates are 2 to 7 November'15.
The tournament was organized under the Table Tennis federation of India( TTFI) at
