TIPS TO PREPARE FOR EXAMINATIONS
Easing Exam Tension, Passing an exam calls for being familiar with the material you have to learn, able to compare, explain, discuss, critically appraise and answer in brief or choose the correct answer, besides being familiar with the topics that form the syllabi. To accomplish this effectively, you need to streamline your work, systematize your preparation plan and above all, adhere to a regular pattern of study from which you should seldom deviate. Mastering time management skills is utmost important in this regimen.

BEFORE THE BIG DAY
  1. Chalk out revision programmes sensibly and methodically. According to psychologists, “revision is most economical and effective when carried out as soon as possible after learning.”
  2. It is better to study for a short duration with brief intermissions than going in for prolonged study and a long break.
  3. There is no short cut to thorough study except writing and working out problems where necessary as in physics, chemistry, Maths, commerce and other subjects.
  4. Visualize success and positive thinking. Replace negative self-talk with a positive thought.
  5. Avoid late night study especially on the previous day of the exam.
  6. Keep your hall ticket or admit card intact. Make a few zeroxed copies of these and leave it at home as a precautionary measure.
  7. Retire to bed early after a nutritious meal.
  8. Avoid arguments or any other altercations in the home that may upset you.  Stay away from texting messages and long hours of chatting.  Our eyes need rest. Do deep breathing exercises 3-5 times a day for 10minutes each.  You will feel fresh and recharged.
ON THE BIG DAY
  1. Have a short glimpse of your revision notes before leaving for the exam and avoid carrying books to the exam centre.
  2. Be on your seat half an hour before the commencement of the exam, close your eyes and calm down.
  3. When the question papers are given, read the instructions thoroughly before putting pen to paper.
  4. Don’t forget to fill the essential details regarding roll number, date, name etc. which must be filled in the correct space.
  5. It is better to answer the questions in order. Leave space and move on to the next, in case you are unable to attempt the question. You are born to perform, so be motivated, focused and relaxed before every exam.

Wish You All The Best!!
